Vaping to Calm Down and Relax

Blog header Keep Calm and Vape

So you’ve had a tough day all around. Maybe work was hard, maybe you fought with your spouse, or your life has just been really intense lately. Whatever the situation may be, our current lifestyles are fast, hard, and stressful.

We’re always plugged in, and connected to the world through the Internet, our mobile phones, and computers, and now even our watches buzz when someone needs to reach us. We’ve never had to be so “on” as we have to be nowadays.

There are many ways to cope with stress, to take care of ourselves and relax so as to regenerate. One of which is vaping to calm down and relax.

The Ritual

Yoga Meditation

There is something to be said about sitting down and enjoying a cup of tea or coffee, or reading a book without being interrupted by a billion texts, about having a nice meal among friends, or simply daydreaming. It used to be that taking a cigarette break while at work was an accepted ritual that enabled smokers to wind down periodically.

Smoking cigarettes is obviously unhealthy and not something we do ourselves or would recommend to anyone, that is not the point. The point is the value and power of the ritual and Vaping can have the same purpose as any of the above-mentioned rituals.

Cigarette Smoking

The importance of rituals has been proven enough that we know taking a 10 or 20-minute break to detach from the subject we’re working or thinking on can enhance our creativity and productivity.

So whatever you do when you vape, whether it’s in front of the tv, or walking around the block, taking a work break with some colleagues/friends to enjoy a few minutes of socialization, don’t underestimate the power of the ritual you made for yourself. On the contrary, keep it up, and make it so it’s part of a calm down routine which enables you to disconnect, so you can come back and perform on a high level when you need to.

The Herbs

Along with the ritual that can help you relax, there are certain herbs that can help propulse you to that place where your mind can reset and stop running around like a hamster in a wheel.

Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha: With a vaping temperature of 190c/374f, Ashwaganda is one of the best herbs against insomnia. It is a top choice to help relax and regain perspective. Best to use at night instead of in the middle of the day, but depending on your stress level, you can judge for yourself when would be best for you.

Hops

Hops: vaping temperature of 130c/266f. Hops is also great against insomnia and to relax. You can try experimenting a blend with Ashwaganda as they marry very well.

Lemon Balm

Lemon Balm: vaping temperature of 130c/266f. Lemon Balm is good for a number of things including simple stomach aches. But its sedative effects are great and can also be interesting when mixed with Ashwaganda, Hops, and/or Valerian.

St John's Wort

St John’s Wort: vaping temperature of 190c/374f. St John’s Wort is a natural antidepressant. It will therefore help you keep up your morale while its sedative virtues help you gain perspective and relax.

Valerian

Valerian: vaping temperature of 235c/452f. Quite a powerful herb, it is even more so when inhaled than when taken as a pill. Be sure to experiment with the dosage as well as the blends. The flavor blends well with Lemon Balm.

Knowing all this, it is definitely a good idea to try different blends and dosages at night at home before being able to tell what works best for your own constitution.

The objective is to calm down and relax, gain perspective, and let your mind rest so you can better function in today’s world.
