What Is THC-O Acetate?

THC-O is a minor cannabinoid found in the hemp plant. THC-O, is known by several different names including: THC-O Acetate, THC-O Distillate, and ATHC.
What makes THC-O different from cannabinoids such as Delta 8 THC (D8) or Delta 9 THC (D9) is that:
1. THC-O has psychoactive effects that are more potent than both Delta 8 and Delta 9.
2. In the THC-O molecule, an acetate group is chemically bound to the main THC molecule. The end result is that you get a form of THC that’s able to bind to the cannabinoid receptors at a higher rate, and thus the stronger reaction. THC-O Tolerance Do not assume that a tolerance from Delta 8 THC or Delta 9 THC will translate to THC-O.
Since THC-O is acetylated, it is more stable and stays in the system longer.

It takes longer to feel the effects if taken in edible form because it stays intact as it passes through the digestive tract. Due to the way it assimilates metabolically in the system, is part of the reason people report feeling different than a typical Delta 9 or Delta 8 THC high.
